As a dog groomer, animal welfare is key to our responsibility to meet your dog’s needs and comfort whilst under our care.
The Animal Welfare Act 2006 sets minimum standards which we will always exceed.
The Act makes owners and keepers responsible for ensuring that animal welfare needs are completely met. These include;
- the need for a suitable environment (place to live)
- then need for a suitable diet
- the need to exhibit normal behavior patterns
- the need to be housed with, or apart from, other animals (if applicable)
- the need to be protected from pain, injury, suffering and disease
